setup ping.fm as a destination

With notify.me you can now update all social networks through ping.fm.

So what is ping.fm?

ping.fm is a service that allows you to update your status on 30 + social networks (such as twitter, facebook, brightkite, linkedin, etc..) from one central location.

You might be asking yourself why would I setup notify.me with ping.fm? Say you have a picasa or flickr account to which you post photos to, or maintain your own blog, well now you can use notify.me's ping.fm integration to automagically post the updates to all your social networks when you upload a new photo album or make a new blog posting.

So, how do you get it setup?

1. Setup a ping.fm account and configure all your social networks at http://ping.fm
2. Go to your destinations page at http://notify.me/user/destination
3. Click on the +change icon
   

   

4. Visit http://ping.fm/key/ as instructed on the notify.me destinations page
5. Copy the key provided by ping.fm onto your clip board by clicking on the key, it will automatically get highlighted and it will be copied to your clip board
   

   

6. Paste the key into notify.me and click the 'Add Ping.fm destination' button
   

   

   
    
7. Now that you have it configured, you can go to your sources page at http://notify.me/user/source/list and click on the new ping.fm logo (the big letter P) so that it is highlighted
   

   

8. If you're feeling bold you can also add filters from the source listing page to include or exclude conent from being broadcast to all your social networks, you can even customize which destinations ping.fm should broadcast to by clicking on the preferences link on the destinations page for ping.fm
